Howdy! I'm Debbie Millwater...

• I love my husband, my best friend, and my co-adventurer, Johnny Millwater. He is my family and I'm looking forward to growing old alongside him.

• As a baby, I could only fall asleep when my parents took me on car rides. I've been adventuring ever since. Wanderlust.

• I love taking my, Saturn SL2, ‘Whitey’, on road trips. I drive with the windows down, the heat up, and chill on The Ride. Odometer: 243,875

• Spurred on by my impending 30th birthday, I thru-hiked 850 miles of the Appalachian Trail in 2008. My journey started in February in Georgia at Springer Mountain and ended in July in Virginia hiking through the Shenandoah National Park. I know now that I'll be one of those crazy 75-year-old ladies who wanders the trail aimlessly, barefoot and talking to the squirrels.

• I could eat a cheeseburger every day!! I love steak and barbecue too. I can't wait to own my first grill and become a grill-master.

• I was shocked to find out that the LOVES of my LIFE were my dogs, Bishop and Starbuck. I blogged about them. Yes, I am one of those crazy dog owners with 500 pictures of their dogs; if you've got a couple hours to kill, then I've got the slideshow.

• I love watching live stand-up comedy. I use my MySpace alter-ego AmericanJoy to keep up with this passion.

• I enjoy volunteering at my local public access station, TV Access 21. I can now even back-up crew at every technical position.

Starting in April 2009, I'm bringing a new series to TV Access 21, School Me TV with Debbie Millwater. The concept is simple, experts school me in subjects that I'm interested in learning about.
